GLADES BOAT STORAGE, INC. is owner-operated by boaters, for boaters. The boat yard / marina is located at St. Mi. 89 along a fresh water section of the cross-Florida Okeechobee Waterway, 11 miles west of Lake Okeechobee. This area is as "hurricane-proof" as is possible in Florida. With locks in both directions, water surge is minimal, and there is no tide.

40-TON LIFT: A 40-ton lift is in service to haul your boat. From the waterway, a short entry channel (8' deep) leads to the lift basin and two convenience docks.

|
OVERHEAD CLEARANCE: From Stuart (the Atlantic end of the Okeechobee Waterway), clearance is limited by a 49' lift bridge at Port Mayaca. From Ft. Myers and the Gulf of Mexico, the limit is 55'.

SEASON: Masts should be un-stepped during hurricane season
(June 1 - Nov. 1).
